Enjoy a spectacular get-away on the Withlacoochee River. This house is situated right on the riverbank and it offers a stunning deck beneath an old southern oak draped in Spanish moss - you'll find the deck to be the perfect place for relaxing at the end of the day.
The Withlacoochee (Native American for crooked river) flows peacefully by, about 40 feet from the living room window, and directly below the backyard deck. On this scenic waterway, you're close to nature - explore by canoe, kayak or boat. Venture downriver, and you may see osprey, roseate spoonbills, wood storks, egrets, herons, otters, alligators, manatees or dolphins.
You’ll love overlooking the river, the quiet location, and the awesome deck and dock. You will have two tropically-styled bedrooms at opposite ends of a great room. The master bedroom is large, featuring a comfy king-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom is average in size and has a nice, comfy, queen-sized bed. This bedroom has en-suite access to a bathroom that is also accessible from the living room. The kitchen is open to the great room, and is fully equipped with pots, pans, dishes, etc. You'll enjoy dining in, if you like to cook. The great room has a large stone fireplace. The Florida room has a wall of windows overlooking the river.

Summary: Very lovely house. The deck over the river is the highlight. So beautiful and peaceful back there anytime of the day. The house is spacious and very clean inside. The kitchen could use some more and newer cooking supplies and a couple of areas in and out of the house needed some tlc. We did see a small alligator but he did not bother with us! We enjoyed a little kayaking on the peaceful river . So nice to have them available. We rode our bikes around the neighborhood and to breakfast at the Lollipop Bakery. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much.
