Enjoy our delightful beach cottage in much-admired Maushop Village. This thoughtfully appointed townhouse cottage is located in Maushop Village, a casual and relaxing waterfront beach community of quaint Nantucket-style architecture, white picket fencing, clamshell walkways, and lush seaside landscaping in the renowned New Seabury Resort. Maushop Village Beach Community is set high on a bluff above its deeded private beach and the lapping waters of Nantucket Sound.
Our meticulous and newly air-conditioned two-bedroom, two-bath, beach getaway was remodeled to combine the living area and the kitchen to create an open floor plan. A skylight and a wall of sliding doors provide abundant natural light, and warm wide pine flooring throughout adds traditional charm. Relax in the living area, with a white shiplap cathedral ceiling, custom built-ins, and seaside furnishings that evoke a classic cottage vibe.
The kitchen was redesigned to maximize its space and includes granite counters, custom cabinetry, a large breakfast bar, stainless appliances, a dishwasher, and a washer/dryer.
The main level includes a nautical-inspired bedroom with two twin beds, a renovated full bath with a tiled soaking tub/shower combination, and the open floor plan kitchen and living areas with spill over space on the patio.
Find total serenity in the private primary suite, located on the second floor, featuring a new king-sized bed and a cathedral ceiling with skylights. Unwind and refresh in the beautifully renovated full bath with a glass-enclosed walk-in tiled shower.
The front and rear patios are fantastic for enjoying a coastal breeze. Indulge in outdoor summer meals cooked on a Webber grill on the shaded front patio during the day or under the lights of the umbrella at dusk. Sip morning coffee or enjoy happy hour cocktails on the rear patio off the living area.
We fell head over heels with our cottage townhouse when we saw it. The cozy yet open feel upon entering, the connected outdoor spaces, and the somewhat secluded setting of our location was just what we wanted. Our cottage is the perfect location if you are looking for a bit of privacy yet still steps to Maushop Beach and a 5-minute stroll to Popponesset Marketplace. We especially enjoy having the best of both worlds.
