Summary: I stayed at the Moxy Charlotte for 5 nights traveling for work. The hotel is conveniently located to the Charlotte Convention Center where I attended a trade show. That is the lone positive. My room had no closet, only pegs and hooks for my clothes across one wall of the room. The one drawer under the bed only opened part ways because it was too close to the wall. No in-room refrigerator, no guest safe. During my stay, only one of three elevators were working. In the evening, lines were typically out the door for people trying to get back to their rooms. The front desk is up on 13th floor in front of the hotel's bar and restaurant. The bar was host to some music events with DJ's spinning. Trying to access the front desk was impossible during that chaos. I also reserved 2 other rooms for my co-workers. I put it on my card, they kept trying to charge me for a 3rd room which created a series of fraud alerts on my credit card. It took a while for me to rectify the billing prior to check out. The icing on the cake - I checked my bag with the registration on 13 when I checked out. I returned later that afternoon to pick up my bag. NO elevator service at all. I called the front desk. At least they were able to send someone down with it. I also encountered some shady characters loitering around the property, and at times in the one working elevator headed up to the 13th floor bar. I will never stay there again and do not recommend it.
