Experience: This is a peaceful, winding journey through protected marshlands. It’s the best spot for morning birdwatching—keep an eye out for Osprey, Great Blue Herons and Egrets.
2. The "Merge" to the Ocean (The Adventure)
Direction: From the dock, head South (Right) through Shoestring Bay.
Experience: As you move south, Shoestring Bay merges with the Santuit River and opens into Popponesset Bay. Follow the shoreline further to reach the Popponesset Spit, a beautiful barrier beach where the bay finally meets the Vineyard Sound (Atlantic Ocean).
