Summary: It’s a dated Mariott. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Regular rooms and bathrooms are quite small with 7 foot ceilings. The bed was decently comfortable, but the pillows were horrible. I think they were a combination of feather and down, and I found that because I’m a side sleeper my forehead was vertically creased every morning, which was unnerving. The lobby and conference area are very nice except for dated furniture in the common area. I attended a conference there and the conference room was excellent. Unfortunately, it was one of the nicer sections of the hotel. The Pool was decent and the fitness center was well appointed and quite spacious. Plenty of free water and coffee was a nice touch. Elevators require a key for floor entry which is nice for security, but I found it very annoying after several days. We did eat at the restaurant and the food was very good. It is a nice location with ample on-site parking although they require you to pay for it. A Publix is easily accessible a block away, which was nice to grab a light snack or drinks. I don’t want to sound like a hotel snob, but I’ve stayed at a lot nicer Marriotts; it definitely is due for an upgrade.
